Mobile tech must-haves, social media dos and don’ts, and in-depth local market analyses will headline a new real estate event that is coming to San Francisco on Monday, July 12.
The all-day Agent Reboot event, which leads into the annual Real Estate Connect conference running from July 13-15 in San Francisco, is the first of a dozen events planned through October in major cities across the U.S.
The Agent Reboot schedule:
San Francisco: July 12

San Diego: Aug. 25
Denver: Sept. 8
Las Vegas: Sept. 15
Portland: Sept. 22

The events are intended to be affordable and informative for real estate agents of all stripes — from tech-savvy pros to industry newcomers.
The San Francisco Agent Reboot, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel, begins at 9 a.m. with a welcome address by emcees Nicole Nicolay, of MyTechOpinion.com and Agent Evolution, and Daniel Rothamel, of RealEstateZebra.com.
Featured speakers for that event include Realtor.com Vice President Max Pigman, Intero Real Estate CEO Gino Blefari, McGuire Real Estate CEO Charles Moore, and Ginger Wilcox of the Social Media Marketing Institute, among others.
A sampling of sessions at the event: "Mastering Social Media to Expand Your Reach Online," "From Clicks to Closings: Turning Your Online Marketing Strategy into a Lead Machine," and "CEO Faceoff: What Does it Take to Win in Bay Area Real Estate."
The San Francisco event includes a set of four partner programs by ActiveRain, the California Association of Realtors, the Young Professionals Network and Zillow.com.
Inman News CEO Tim Smith said that mobile technology will be a hot topic at the Agent Reboot events. "Agents will get tons of tips on which mobile apps to download and which Web applications will assist them in working smarter and more efficiently," Smith said.
"Agents will learn tips and tricks for maximizing lead conversion on their website, regardless of what type of site they have currently. Agents will also learn a great deal about social media — working smart, managing content and your reputation, and how to develop online relationships."
He added, "A lot of agent tech and marketing trainings are geared for the ‘tech savvy’ agent. The truth is, there is a huge population of agents that are overwhelmed with technology and do not know where to begin. Agent Reboot is really geared toward that type of agent. At each Agent Reboot we will be teaching the most relevant technology and marketing tips that are easy to implement for even the most ‘tech challenged’ agent.
"By branching out to 12 cities … we are able to reach more agents than ever before, in their back yard, and really customize our content to the needs of the local market," he said.
